Helping my Mother Join the Digital Revolution

Today I got a request for my Aunt to join my friends on Facebook. I flashed back to a conversation I had last week with my mom. I asked her if she was going to join Facebook, do you know what her response was.....? "I don't know how!" WHAT IS THIS??? My mom can check her email, check my blog, my sisters blog and my cousins blogs but she can't sign up for Facebook. So I have taken this on as a personal challenge to get my mom signed up for Facebook and get a blog set up for her so she can proudly proclaim "I am a member of the Digital Revolution!"

Slacking Off

I am totally slacking off with my blog.....I started teaching again and you would have thought I dropped off the face of the planet. It seems like I can't keep up with anything, but I am going to start making a better effort. Hopefully this week I will get this updated through Halloween!

Cookie Stacking

This was Emma and Ethan at their finest at the Bannock County Fair this summer. We live close enough to the fair grounds that we could have walked. No winners this time but you can guarantee they will be practicing for next year!

Lagoon

This was a "Lagoon" weekend. We rode as many rides as we could on Saturday, Emma refused to ride any of the rollercoasters. She finally agreed to let me take her on the Wild Mouse then she let Burns take her on the Fire Dragon and the Wicked. Emma then convinced Ethan the Wicked was 'wicked fun' and Sunday morning all four of us were flying wicked fast. The Wicked is now Emma and Ethan's favorite ride along with The Bat, The Spider, Jetstar 2 and anything else that is like a rollercoaster! It was so much fun that we will be bouncing back to Lagoon next weekend!!!!

Silverwood Theme Park

In June we met Grandma and Grandpa Atwood at Silverwood Theme Park near Sandpoint, Idaho. We rode rides and spent some time at the waterpark before sending Emma and Ethan off with their Dad for the summer. The best ride at the park was the Tremors Rollercoaster and I have the picture to prove it!

Walt Disneyworld Orlando

In February we treated the kids to a surpise trip to Disneyworld. We spend 7 days cramming all the rides and shows in we could. The Tower of Terror, Rockin' Rollercoaster, and Space Mountain were just a few of their favorite rides. The highlight was having Emma and Ethan chosen from the crowd to recieve a LARGE cookie from the Main Street Bakery. The Lion King Parade in Animal Kindom was fantastic! We loved the Cirque du Soleil! Most impressive were the fireworks over Cinderlla's Castle!. Burns and I were sad when we had to return our rental car...a bright red, convertible Ford Mustang.

Emma at the Wedding

Emma had a great time. We gave her the job of throwing rose petals at specific moment in the ceremony. She was funny as usual and threw them straight up in the air so they would land on her head. What a girl! She also had a lot of fun helping me get ready. She helped me buckle my shoes, do my hair, get in the right door and of course wanted to hold my flowers all the time. I think her favorite job was to watch the cake and make sure no one touched it too early!

Our Wedding

October 7, 2006

Burns and I decided Fort Edmonton would be a great place to get married. He rented The Jasper House, arranged the dinner afterward, asked for Alonna to play the music, and bought a new suit. I found a dress, had it altered (thanks again Mom), helped make a matching dress for Emma, assigned Mandy and Heather to flowers and supervised the setup the morning of. It was a really busy day! We made it through and I was only 30 minutes late...I think that was a record for me.

Burns has quite the sense of humor and is often the first to crack a joke or pull a harmless prank.
I made it really clear that I did not want to have Black Forest Cake all over my face, so he made sure I only got it on my nose! What you don't see is him then dipping me as if he was going to kiss me and then sucking the cake off my nose....ewww! That's my Burns!!!!!

The Princess House

March 13, 2008

Today is our last day without a morgage.....AHHHHH! I am so excited to finally have a place to call my own and to do whatever I want to. More than that I am excited to not be moving for a really long time. I'll put pictures up as soon as I can!
